The quiz uses a flower to help you identify your gardening style and thereby your most pressing gardening needs.
Your success in maintaining your garden is directly related to your physical ability, time, money and skill.
This quiz is the first step in your journey of creating a friendly home garden that is easy to maintain.
Philosophy
I believe strongly that persons with disabilities should be enabled to create a Can-Do garden space that meets their needs. When the Can-Do gardener matches their needs with their environment they have a better chance at creating and maintaining their garden.
As a person with disabilities myself, I firmly belief that gardening is an activity that allows me to:
- stay active,
- get outside and into nature
- maintain a sense of independence; and
- create
It is for this reason, I have created this quiz and website. It is intended help you build your own gardening profile as part of your planning process. Let’s face it, gardening with disabilities requires strategy. I firmly believe that in order to create a sustainable, safe, beautiful enabling space – planning, designing and communication – are essential pieces of the puzzle.
It is my hope that you will embark on the journey of discovering your gardening style. Confident in the knowledge that insights gleaned, can help you create that safe enabled garden space which you so truly deserve.
